Some more pictures & a video of my precious kids!

I couldn't not post this video!

Merry Christmas!

I hope that everyone had a great Christmas! We had a great Christmas! It was different, but it was perfect! (My husband works nights so he had to work Christmas Eve and Christmas night...and then slept most of Christmas day..) Even though we didn't see my husband much, the kids were well behaved and they made it such an enjoyable day! We just had Christmas with my family yesterday, and that too, was also perfect!I am so thankful for my family..:)

Today Jonathan had his first dentist appointment! I had taken him several months ago, but when I had made the appointment, I had forgotten to mention his medical history..so because of his previous heart problems they weren't able to see him until they had spoken to his cardiologist..but we went today and I was so proud of him! He just laid back in the chair and chilled! As I sat there watching him , I was reminded once again, at how grown up my baby boy is! ( dont let him hear me call him my 'baby boy'! ) He is 4 1/2! He will be in Kindergarten next year! How are we at this point already? And then I look at my daughter who is 2! Where has the time gone!? My daughter was quite the fussy and needy baby, and I remember thinking..if i can just get to where she is a year old, then she wont be as fussy! At the time it felt like it was the longest year of my life, and now looking back , I wished that I hadn't wished that year away! That I could of somehow enjoyed her fussiness more! But thats just how time works, I guess! I am once again reminded not to wish time away! But to cherish each day the Lord has given us! And to praise Him in all things!

Anyways....I guess I rambled on enough for today!I dont have really anything interesting going on in my life......but I hope that everyone has a Happy New Year!!!!

Home and BRRRRR....its cold!

We got home from our "vacation" in the early hours on Wednesday morning...I spent much of Wednesday getting caught up on laundry, and cleaning house! How can 4 people have so much laundry is a common question going through my mind!Sometimes I think that vacations aren't all that great, it seems like you have more work when you get home!It had been the first time in over a year that we had seen my husbands family, so it was nice to get to see everyone. There was alot of "down time" and my husband and I are so used to being constantly busy, so we didn't know what to do with all of our free time!

Since we have been home its been COLD!!! And when I say cold I mean like wind chill of more than -10. I dont know the exact temperature from today, but I do know that it was windy ALL day and possibly even in the negative numbers ALL day. BRRRRRRR! we just got back from North Carolina where it was in the 40's!

Today Jonathan had his Christmas program at school!I was soo proud of him! He sang and recited his verse perfectly! I worried that he would get shy or not pay attention on the stage, but he did great! Its such a blessing to me to watch my kids grow! To think that 4 1/2 years ago this little boy was born, small, premature, and sick..and to see how God has worked in Jonathan's life in that time is just amazing to me!I am so blessed! And Zoe....well, she is something else! She is the most willful , headstrong child I have ever met! Yet she is the sweetest girl, and the most "mothering" little girl ever! She makes us laugh quite often! Actually both of our kids keep us laughing!

I cant believe that Christmas is next week! I dont know where the time has gone! I dont know if I feel ready for it, but I guess I will have to be!I hope everyone is haveing a wonderful holiday season!

Snowstorms & Travelling..

So yesterday was the nastiest day so far! Snow, rain, sleet, wind...it was a perfect day to stay in and watch Christmas movies , knit, and drink hot chocolate! So thats what I did! I wanted to bake something, but there is not point since we are leaving tomorrow for North Carolina to visit with my husbands family. I am so thankful for my warm and cozy home! Its nice to know that on such a chilly day that I can just relax and stay inside with my crazy kiddos! They were bouncing off the wall!I have been trying to pack some this afternoon, but the kids think its fun to unpack everything of theirs that I get packed! It seems like I am going in circles!I feel like that alot of days! I get one room cleaned and head to another room, and by the time I finish with that the first is messy again! Oh, well!

Jonathan has been preparing for his Christmas program at his school. It has been such a blessing to me to see how much he has learned and how much he can memorize! He has been quoting Bible verses, and singing Christmas songs! Every night at bedtime we sing worship songs, and I love having him sing with me! Even Zoe chimes in with her own version! Now we have to sing his Christmas songs at bedtime! I love singing with my kids! Its such a blessing to me!!

Christmas Tree!

Yesterday was our family day! Some weeks its hard to find a day that we can just spend it together with out interruption. My husband works two jobs, and in his (our) free time we have been spending getting all of our firewood finished before snow ( which we finished the day before our first snow!)and trying to work on our addition to our house! We were looking forward to yesterday ALL week! We had planned on getting our Christmas tree, making cookies, making gingerbread houses, etc....it always seems that the "perfect plan" always has its loopholes! The kids have been fighting off colds for a week, and finally Friday night they both started feeling worse! So even though Sunday wasn't exactly how I pictured it in my mind, it was still a nice family day! We did go out and cut down our " Charlie Brown " tree from our property...and we did make cookies ( even though they didn't get decorated until today!)the gingerbread houses never even got started! But, I am just so thankful for a day with my family!I have always been one to plan my days and such...and I used to get so disappointed when it didnt go as how I thought it should..but over time, I have realized that you can't really plan a day when you have two small children! We still had a nice day! And I need to remember to cherish all these moments that we have together!

New to the blogging world!

My husband is working ( as usual), the kids are in bed ( so i get a little bit of quiet time), so I am just sitting here trying to figure out this whole blogging thing! I have never done something like this before....and I see how nice others blogs look...and hope that I can make mine the same! I don't even know if I will have anyone read this or if I am rambling for nothing!we shall see!

So I have started blogging....

Now what do I do?? My friend, Steph, started blogging and I really have enjoyed reading all that she has to say, so I decided to start my own blog! I don't know if it will be anything interesting or not, but I will try!!
